Contracts done properly from day one
Before drafting a contract, we place the employee in the right professional group and category under the applicable collective agreement, work out the minimum salary that applies and check the probation period, working hours and holidays. The contract includes the additional clauses that protect the employer, within the limits of the Workers' Statute (Estatuto de los Trabajadores) and the collective agreement.
We have particular experience in hospitality in the province of Cadiz: bars, restaurants, hotels, holiday apartments and catering, under the provincial collective agreement and the national hospitality labour agreement.
When something was done late or wrong
A registration that was not filed in time, an employee missing from the Social Security returns or incorrect contribution bases can all be put right, but it is best to act quickly to keep surcharges down. We find out what happened, file the supplementary returns and arrange payment.
Frequently asked questions
How far in advance do I need to register a new employee?
The Social Security registration (alta) must be filed before the employee starts work. Send us the details as soon as you have agreed to hire them and we will make sure it is done in time.
What do you need from me to prepare a contract?
The employee’s details and identity document (for foreign nationals, usually the NIE), the job, working hours and schedule, the start date and the salary you want to offer. With that we check it fits the collective agreement and propose the contract.
I am sending an employee to another EU country. What do I need to do?
Usually you need to apply for an A1 certificate, which shows that the employee continues to pay Social Security contributions in Spain while working abroad. We handle the application and let you know if anything else is needed.
